Jean Schmitt is the Founding President and Managing Partner at Jolt Capital, the leading European PE firm dedicated to growth deeptech. Prior to Jolt, Jean was Managing Partner at Sofinnova.

Jean started his career by founding and leading as CEO three tech companies, all successfully exited. He holds an MSc from Telecom ParisTech (France) and a post-grad degree in Artificial Intelligence.

Jean is currently a board member of BioSerenity, Virta, Verimatrix (EUR:VMX) and the SICAV Tech Premium.

He has played a pivotal role in multiple exits and IPOs, including Myriad (SIX:MYRN), Authentec (NASDAQ:AUTH) acquired by Apple, NILT acquired by Radiant, Fogale Sensation acquired by Apple, and Heptagon acquired by AMS.

He is also the Chairman of the baroque orchestra La Chapelle Harmonique.
