Tatsuo is a communication designer specializing in the sports industry, leveraging sport as a vehicle for social innovation. He currently serves as co-lead of the Venture Café Global Gathering 2026 at Venture Café Tokyo, where he helps bridge the global startup ecosystem with Tokyo’s innovation community.As co-founder and board member of the Japan Sports Analyst Association, Tatsuo launched the flagship annual conference Sports Analytics Japan (SAJ) in 2014. Since its inception, SAJ has grown to become one of the most influential events in Japan’s sports community, with the ambition of establishing itself as Asia’s leading sports analytics conference.Until the end of 2021, he served as Director of International Communications for Tokyo 2020, leading the international communications team to deliver the message of sport’s unifying power to a global audience.Tatsuo holds a Master of Arts in Sports and Recreation Management from Indiana State University.

スポーツ領域におけるPR・コミュニケーションのプロフェッショナルとして活動中。前職の東京2020組織委員会広報局では5年半にわたり、IOC・IPC広報とのコミュニケーション戦略の連携及び国際メディア対応をリードするなど、国際広報を牽引。本業の傍ら2014年に設立した日本スポーツアナリスト協会では、理事として企画／広報を担い、スポーツアナリティクスジャパン立ち上げに尽力。SXSWにインスパイアされスポーツを起点とするクロスカルチャーなフェスを創るべく活動を推進。現在、Venture Café TokyoではProgram Partnerとしてコミュニティ内の多様性を拡張すべく、プログラム企画を中心に様々なコミュニティとの接続に従事し、Global GatheringのCo-leadを務めている。
