Tarh Joshua Abonghe is a Product Manager and impact strategist at Socious, where he leads the development of Socious Fund, a decentralized impact funding platform empowering changemakers worldwide to launch and scale projects for people and the planet. He also oversees Socious Verify, Socious Wallet, and Socious Work, supporting over 17,000 users in funding, managing, and scaling purpose-driven projects. Under his leadership, Socious Fund has piloted innovative funding models, disbursing over $16,000 USD in early rounds, $500,000 USD in its first full round, and scaling toward $1M USD in upcoming disbursements. Joshua’s work spans initiatives such as self-sovereign identity verification and quadratic funding systems, driving innovation at the intersection of blockchain, social impact, and community building.

Before product management, Joshua worked in the areas of talent acquisition, business development, marketing and social impact leadership in Japan and Africa. He led marketing and client expansion at hamon Co., Ltd., boosted international tourism and community projects with Discover Deep Japan,  earning the Social Change Maker 3 Award (2020) in education, minorities, and female empowerment, and founded MO-SAFE in Cameroon, advancing workplace safety, resilience, and livelihoods during times of crisis. By the end of his tenure, MO-SAFE relocated over 10 families from conflict zones. He is also a published author, having contributed to the first edition of Koku Zine, reflecting his commitment to creative expression and social commentary.

Across all roles, Joshua thrives as a bridge-builder between technical teams and social impact stakeholders, motivating engineers, shaping products directly from user feedback, and steering organizations through periods of uncertainty and growth. Shaped by a childhood of economic hardship and a nontraditional educational path, he strives to be number one not by competing with others, but by continuously becoming the best version of himself, a principle that drives his commitment to poverty reduction, inclusion, and building ecosystems where innovation and opportunity can flourish.
