Head of Venture Investments since 2024. Prior to joining CSB, Sou was at L.E.K. Consulting in Japan where he supported various life science, pharmaceutical and consumer goods projects. Sou has also worked at one of Southeast Asia’s biggest startups, Shopee, as Japan cross-border business development and operational lead and was a founding member of Shopee Japan. He also has experience as an academic at Temasek Life Sciences Laboratory (Singapore), where he studied the microbiome of humans, laboratory and farm animals. Sou gained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Bristol, U.K. and MSci. and PhD. from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Saudi Arabia, on molecular microbiology.

分子微生物学を専門とし、これまでヒトや動物のマイクロバイオームに関する研究に従事。シンガポールのTemasek Life Sciences Laboratoryでは感染症や免疫に関連する微生物叢の研究を行うなど、アカデミアにて生命科学の基礎と応用の両面を経験。 その後、東南アジア最大級のスタートアップShopeeにて越境ECの事業開発とオペレーションを主導し、日本拠点の立ち上げにも貢献。加えて、L.E.K.コンサルティングにてライフサイエンス・医薬・消費財領域の戦略立案支援に従事。2024年よりCSBに参画し、微生物・免疫・ヘルスセキュリティ分野を含むシステムバイオロジー領域への投資を統括。英国ブリストル大学理学部卒業。サウジアラビア・King Abdullah University of Science and Technology（KAUST）にて分子微生物学の修士号・博士号取得。
