Shogo Ishida is the CEO of EMURGO Middle East & Africa, leading Web3 investment and ecosystem development across Africa and the Middle East. In 2021, EMURGO, one of the founding entities of Cardano, launched a $100 million investment vehicle to Africa. Since then, EMURGO MEA has invested in 85 startups, accelerated 20, and incubated 3 ventures.
He is also the co-founder and board member of Adaverse, a Web3 accelerator that entered Saudi Arabia in 2024 through a partnership with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, launching the nation’s first Web3 Alliance.
Previously, as CEO of QRC Group, he advised the Uzbekistan government on Web3 regulations and led digitization initiatives with the London Stock Exchange and BSI. His previous service includes roles at Japan’s Consulate in Dubai and as secretary to Japan’s Foreign and Deputy Prime Ministers. He has spoken at Davos 2023 and lectures at major global universities including Pan-Atlantic University in Lagos and IIT Hyderabad.

Web3インキュベーター「Adaverse」の共同創業役員として、アフリカのみならず、2024年にはサウジアラビアへの進出を主導。現地の通信情報技術省（MCIT）とのパートナーシップに加え、同国初のWeb3アライアンスの立ち上げに尽力。
以前には、QRC Groupの代表としてウズベキスタン政府のWeb3政策立案に参画し、法的枠組みの作成のために国際的なタスクフォースチームを牽引。ロンドン証券取引所およびBSIと連携し、証券のデジタル化プロジェクトをリードした。
ドバイ総領事館勤務や、外務大臣・副総理の国際関係担当秘書として、国連総会の核軍縮イベント、日本初の温暖化対策基本法案策定支援、NGOの海外活動推進などを手掛ける。
世界経済フォーラム（ダボス会議）をはじめとする国際会議に登壇し、慶應義塾大学大学院の客員研究員として活動。ナイジェリアのLagos Business Schoolやインド工科大学ハイデラバード校（IIT-H）など、世界各地の高等教育機関で講義・講演を行っている。
