Philip DiSarro is the founder and CEO of Anastasia Labs, an R&D consultancy specializing in the development of mission-critical blockchain applications and secure, scalable infrastructure for the Cardano blockchain. With over four years of experience in compiler development, programming language theory, and smart contract security, he has played a key role in shaping Cardano’s developer infrastructure. Philip is the architect of Midgard, Cardano’s first permissionless Layer-2 protocol. He is widely recognized for thwarting a large-scale DDoS attack on the Cardano network by identifying a vulnerability in the attacker's smart contracts. By strategically exploiting this weakness, Philip was able to claim the attacker’s funds, neutralizing the exploit and preventing service disruption across the network.
