Mario Larangeira is a computer engineer and cryptographer who attended the Aeronautical Institute of Technology in Brazil and holds a master’s degree and PhD from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, where he currently holds the position of specially appointed associate professor. His professional background before joining IOHK in 2016 embraces software development and testing in aircraft, banking and telecommunication industries in both Brazil and Japan.  Mario also has research experience in cryptography and has been engaged in cryptographic research on computational models, as generic group and ring models, security assumptions and proof of security in public-key cryptography.

マリオ・ラランジェイラは、ブラジルの航空技術研究所で学び、東京工業大学で修士号と博士号を取得したコンピュータエンジニア兼暗号研究者である。現在は同大学で特任准教授を務めている。2016年にIOHKに加わる前の経歴には、ブラジルと日本における航空機、銀行、通信業界でのソフトウェア開発とテストが含まれる。 マリオは暗号学の研究経験も有し、計算モデル（汎用群モデル・環モデル）、公開鍵暗号におけるセキュリティ仮定と安全性の証明といった暗号研究に従事してきた。
