In 2025, Atsushi Nishida joined JAFCO as a mid-career hire. Within the Investment Department, engaged in investment and support activities targeting seed and early-stage startups, primarily in the DeepTech sector and energy/manufacturing industries. Prior to joining JAFCO, he joined the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) as a new graduate, where he was primarily involved in establishing and operating support programs for R&D-focused startups. He also earned an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University's Graduate School of Business. Subsequently, at Arthur D. Little Japan, a foreign strategic consulting firm, he primarily supported energy companies and major electronics manufacturers in formulating mid-term management plans and technology strategies.

2025年、JAFCOに中途入社。投資部にて、DeepTech領域やエネルギー・製造業関連を中心にシード・アーリーステージのスタートアップを対象とした投資、支援業務に従事。ジャフコ参画以前は、新エネルギー・産業技術総合開発機構（NEDO）に新卒入社し、主に研究開発型スタートアップに対する支援制度の立上や運用等に従事した他、カーネギーメロン大学経営大学院でMBAを取得。その後、外資系戦略コンサルティングファームのArthur D.Little Japanにて、主にエネルギー企業や総合電機メーカー向けの中期経営計画や技術戦略の策定支援等に従事。
