Serial entrepreneur. Akiyama has created numerous new ventures since elementary school through proposals to companies. Won the SoftBank Innovation Venture new business proposal contest at previous employer, SoftBank. While driving new ventures at SoftBank, he also conceived many projects only feasible outside the company, providing business ideas to large corporations, the United Nations, and governments. Initiated over 40 projects in total.
Following a proposal to the Cabinet Office for a food loss matching cloud system, Akiyama founded a support organization for children's cafeterias. Projects co-created with others often involved marketing, frequently achieving viral buzz with over 10 million impressions per post, as well as topping Twitter trends and appearing on Yahoo! Topics. Frequently utilized cross-marketing with TV and newspapers tailored to project characteristics.
Beyond creating social businesses, his proactive role in solving social issues with the UN and government led publishers to commission him to supervise SDGs books and toys. When asked to supervise the SDGs book “Children's SDGs,” he counter-proposed integrating marketing efforts. Akiyama allocated all royalties from the supervision to cover the cost of sending food at risk of waste to children's cafeterias nationwide. By including this initiative in the book itself, he elevated it from a mere SDGs book to an “SDGs project where readers can participate.” As a result, it was covered by various media outlets and became a bestseller, ranking #1 on Amazon (15th printing as of October 2022). Translated into multiple languages, it is also said to be the world's best-selling SDGs book. Additionally, he is active in various fields including university lectures, speaking engagements, writing, policy formulation, and supervising and producing television programs.
連続事業創造家。企業への提案などで小学生時代から新規事業を多数創出。前職のソフトバンクでも新規事業提案制度『ソフトバンクイノベンチャー』で優勝。ソフトバンクで新規事業を推進する一方で社外でしかできないプロジェクトの企画も多数思いつくことから、事業アイディアを大企業/国連/政府に提供。延べ40件以上のプロジェクトの発起人となる。内閣府への食ロスマッチングクラウドシステムの提言をキッカケにこども食堂の支援法人を立ち上げる。他者と共創したプロジェクトはマーケティングにも関わることが多く、1投稿で1,000万を超えるインプレッションを獲得するバズの他、Twitterトレンド1位やYahoo!トピックも度々獲得。プロジェクト特性に合わせてテレビや新聞とのクロスマーケティングも多用。ソーシャルビジネスの創出実績に加えて国連や政府と社会問題の解決プロジェクトを率先していたことから、出版社から依頼されSDGsの書籍や玩具の監修を行う。SDGs書籍「こどもSDGs」の監修を依頼された際にはマーケティングもセットで実施することを逆提案。監修に伴う印税全額を食ロスになりそうなものを全国のこども食堂に送る費用に充当することにし、書籍中にも記載してもらうことによって単なるSDGs書籍を「読者が参加できるSDGsプロジェクト」に昇華。結果、マスコミ各社で報道されAmazonランキング1位のベストセラー(22年10月時点で15刷)に。複数言語に翻訳され世界一売れたSDGs書籍とも言われる。その他、大学での授業、講演、執筆、政策立案、テレビ番組の監修やプロデュースなど多方面で活動。
