Since joining Spiral Capital in March 2022, Akimoto Naoi has executed numerous investments as the lead investor in the climate tech, deep tech, generative AI, and smart infrastructure sectors. Examples of portfolio companies include Planet Savers (Direct Air Capture technology), Enerbank (renewable energy procurement platform), AZUL Energy (non-platinum catalyst technology), Integrigulture (cultured meat technology), and Turing (autonomous driving), with many being lead investments. Prior to joining Spiral Capital, he joined Deloitte Tohmatsu Consulting as a new graduate and later joined EY Strategy and Consulting. As a manager, he worked on strategic planning projects related to decarbonization technologies and ESG. His academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Information Engineering from Keio University and a Master of Science in Materials Science and Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. He is a co-author of the book “Carbon Zero: Climate Change Management” published by Nikkei Inc.

当方はSpiral Capitalに2022年3月に参画以降、クライメートテック／Deep Tech／生成AI／スマートインフラ領域の投資担当として数多くの投資実行を行っています。担当先の一例として、Planet Savers社（Direc Air Capture技術）、エナーバンク（再エネ調達PF）、AZUL Energy（非白金触媒技術）、インテグリカルチャー社（培養肉技術）、Turing（自動運転）などがあり、多くがリード投資案件となります。Spiral Capital参画前は、新卒でデロイトトーマツコンサルティングに入社し、その後EYストラテジーアンドコンサルティングに入社。マネージャーとして脱炭素技術やESG関連の戦略立案プロジェクト等に従事しておりました。学歴は、慶応義塾大学理工学部物理情報工学科卒、カーネギーメロン大学工学部材料科学科修士課程卒となります。著書（共同執筆）に日本経済新聞社「カーボンZERO気候変動経営」があります。
