President, GLOBIS University / Representative Partner, GLOBIS Capital Partners

A Harvard MBA graduate and former Sumitomo Corporation employee, Yoshito Hori established GLOBIS Management School in 1992, which gained University status from the Government of Japan in 2006. GLOBIS University is now the largest business school in Japan.
He also founded the venture capital firm GLOBIS Capital Partners in 1996. The firm has since managed seven funds with over USD $2 billion.
He founded the Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO) Japan Chapter in 1995 and became the first EO board member from Asia. He has served on the World Economic Forum's New Asian Leaders Executive Committee, the Harvard Business School Alumni Board, and the Global Advisory Council of the Wilson Center.
In 2009, he launched the G1 Summit, which led to the foundation of the G1 Institute in 2013, a leading multi-stakeholder community and think tank.
After the Great Tohoku Earthquake in March 2011, he launched Project KIBOW, leading to the KIBOW Foundation and KIBOW Impact Investment.
He serves as owner of the Ibaraki Robots professional basketball team (since 2016), Ibaraki Broadcasting System (since 2019), and established LuckyFes, an annual music festival attracting over 60,000 attendants in 2024.
He was appointed to the Board of Directors of Daniel J. Edelman Holdings, Inc. in 2024, and to the International Advisory Board of the Royal Academy of Management in Oman in 2025.
