Mario Larangeira

IOG/Institute of Science Tokyo Researcher/Specially Appointed Associate Professor

Mario Larangeira is a computer engineer and cryptographer who attended the Aeronautical Institute of Technology in Brazil and holds a master’s degree and PhD from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, where he currently holds the position of specially appointed associate professor. His professional background before joining IOHK in 2016 embraces software development and testing in aircraft, banking and telecommunication industries in both Brazil and Japan.  Mario also has research experience in cryptography and has been engaged in cryptographic research on computational models, as generic group and ring models, security assumptions and proof of security in public-key cryptography.
