Kazumasa Yamada has worked on social infrastructure projects at Mitsui & Co., Ltd. Experienced new development, joint venture formation, M&A, PMI, and value enhancement for large-scale overseas infrastructure projects such as power plants and smart cities. He also gained hands-on experience implementing philosophy-based management while seconded to an operating company. Yamada subsequently studied innovation methodologies utilizing “broad-based design” and system design at the Illinois Institute of Technology's School of Design.

At BIOTOPE, Yamada integrates practical experience from operating companies with theoretical knowledge to lead long-term vision formulation, management philosophy development and dissemination, strategy formulation, business/service design, and philosophy branding for diverse organizations—whether for-profit, non-profit, or public sector. He excels at capturing the structural challenges of society and organizations from a systems perspective, leveraging the power of vision to drive nonlinear change and value creation.

Beyond consulting, Yamada has extensive experience in training and lectures on business design, system design, design thinking, and co-creation facilitation.
