John is an experienced technology leader with deep experience in fintech, emerging markets and blockchain. After graduating from Oxford he spent four years in BD and Product roles in the advertising technology space before moving into blockchain as the first hire at the Cardano Foundation. His roles included Head of Strategy and Ecosystem, growing Cardano to a multi billion dollar market cap. He subsequently moved to Input Output, the software development company that builds the Cardano protocol, heading up emerging markets and delivering technology solutions to East African governments. He recently founded RealFi, a new platform that enables investors to discover and support the growth of underbanked businesses across the global south. He’s lived and worked across Africa and currently resides in Nairobi, Kenya.
