Hata Masahiro

Masahiro Hata is Co-Founder & General Partner of GLIN Impact Capital. GLIN is an impact/ESG venture capital established to contribute to the development of impact investments and impact-focused startups in Japan and around the world. Prior to GLIN, Masa worked at Mitsubishi Corporation where he engaged in business turnaround and gained overseas experience in Brazil. He went to Harvard Business School where he deepened his knowledge in impact/ESG investment and worked at Anzu Partners and JAFCO where he invested in startups and growth-stage firms. He founded GLIN in 2020. He serves as Co-Chair of Venture Capital Working Group of Japan Impact-driven Financing Initiative and Committee Member of Climate Tech Impact Measurement and Management Committee hosted by Japanese Ministry of the Environment.
