What is the Tech for Impact Summit?

The Tech for Impact Summit is a premier event focused on exploring practical applications of technology to address social and environmental challenges. It aims to foster meaningful connections among stakeholders, such as impact investors, startups, and purpose-driven individuals.

When and where will the Tech for Impact Summit 2024 be held?

Participation, Registration and Tickets

How can I register for the summit?

Is there a registration fee?

Information about registration fees will be provided on our official website. Please check the site for the latest updates and registration details.

Can startups and organizations exhibit at the event?

Yes, there will be opportunities for startups, NGOs, and other organizations to exhibit their products and solutions. Please contact us early as booth space is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

When will I receive my NFT tickets?

For NFT ticket, Student ticket, and Impact Expert ticket holders, you will receive your NFT ticket 3 days prior to the event.

Will NFT Ticket holders have a different registration desk on the D-day?

Yes. There will be a special registration desk for NFT ticket, Student ticket, and Impact Expert ticket holders on the D-day. You will also receive a special NFT ticket badge to wear on the day!

What is the ticket refund policy?

We do not offer refunds for any ticket types.

(For Student Tickets) Can I use my student ID as proof of student status for ticket registration?

For ticket registration, we request all students to submit a Certificate of Enrollment issued by their respective educational institutions, rather than a student ID. This measure is in place to prevent fraud and ensure integrity.

When is the deadline for the volunteers application?

We will be closing our volunteers application around Mid-July.

I don’t have much experience in event coordination, am I qualified to volunteer for the event day?

Event Activities

What are some of the main activities at the summit?

The summit will feature keynote speeches, panel discussions on various topics (e.g., financial inclusion, diversity and inclusion, education, health, environment), a pitch contest for startups with a prize of 300,000 JPY, mentoring sessions, and exhibitions.

Who are some of the keynote speakers and mentors?

The summit will host notable speakers and mentors such as David Freiberg (Senior Manager at EY), Chiara Lepora (MSF Deputy Medical Director), and many more experts from various fields.

Who can join the Pitch For Change event?

The Pitch For Change event (Pitch Contest) is open for all startups to join! Whether you are at the pre-seed stage or the expansion stage, you are welcomed to apply. We will be evaluating those with the brightest ideas in the technology and/or the impact fields!

How many finalists will there be for the Pitch For Change event?

We will select 5 to 7 finalists to participate on the day of the event!

What will be the language used ?

We will be conducting our event both in Japanese and English, providing AI-interpretation services for audience to understand both languages.
